I'll miss many of my students--probably more than they realize. I'm sure in the minds of most students, teachers are semi-robots: just dust us off every few thousand miles and we're ready to go. But we make real human connections with people, then end those connections, usually forever. We rarely get to see what's become of our students. When we do, it's a window into the future.
If you're reading this as a high school graduate, I encourage you to get back in touch with Ms. Simkins from 9th grade or Mr. Walipasaki from your 11th grade chemistry class or whatever. We just want to hear from that future we have helped to craft.
Be seeing you!
